SHARE Wisconsin, along with technology partner
Digital Campfires Foundation (DCF), invite you to participate in the Bits
and Bites Computer Club.
The next meeting of the Bits and Bites Club is scheduled for Thursday, May 22
from 5-7pm at the SHARE warehouse. Click here for a map. Everyone is welcome to join,
no matter what your experience level!
Bits and Bites is a volunteer-organized and -operated club. Monthly meetings include
refreshments, software tutorials, question and answer sessions,
guest speakers, Internet topic tours, and non-techie looks at what’s inside a computer.
The Bits and Bites Club is an excellent place to make new friends, learn more about
computers and software, find answers to your computer
questions and improve your job skills. We encourage you to attend--and to bring
a friend!
If you're interested in joining the club, please contact
Ben LeFort at SHARE. Just send an email to
blefort@sharewi.org or call SHARE's toll-free
number: 800-548-2124.
In addition, Digital Campfires Foundation and SHARE are seeking volunteers interested
in learning more about computers and software. They meet at SHARE weekly to clean
up and repair computer systems for SHARE volunteers and other non-profits. No prior
computer experience is necessary. Activities include receiving and inventorying
donated equipment, testing and cleaning monitors, keyboards and computers, installing
new software, packaging complete systems for distribution, computer mentoring SHARE
volunteers, fixing volunteers' computers, and having a good time. Please contact
John Grozik at
john@digitalcampfiresfoundation.org if you are interested in being a computer
volunteer.
