The Christmas holiday is upon us now, tied in bright shiny ribbons of joy. The sense of good cheer can be heard in the lilt in peoples’ voices. The dark winter night is brightened by the wonder of a thousand sparkling Christmas tree lights. Even if only for now, a sense of peace pervades.
I believe this holiday magic is an expression of the deepest hopes we share as members of a community. SHARE is a special kind of community, one that is united by vision and values rather than by place. Longtime SHARE members and new ones alike experience the amazing impact that we produce by working together each month. This common endeavor allows us to bring healthy, affordable food to over 20,000 people every month. This is something that none of us could ever do alone.
SHARE The Season is our traditional holiday campaign that reaches out and widens the circle of our community. I thank each one of our over 1,000 dedicated SHARE volunteers for the gift of time and hard work that make everything we do possible.
