Like most of us, your holiday traditions probably involve gathering around the table for a meal with family and friends. But with the economic downturn affecting more families than ever, that simple tradition may not be within reach for all. We invite you to help extend the circle of community to families in need through SHARE’s 2011 Holiday Dinner Challenge.
This year each donation of $30 to the Holiday Dinner Challenge can help set an abundant holiday table for a deserving family. SHARE’s Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner Packages include all of the fixings for a gathering of six people—see our SHARE The Season Holiday Campaign Page for details.
Just $30 can supply an entire holiday dinner spread because SHARE’s network of more than 1,000 volunteers makes possible our monthly savings of 30-50% on food in 200 communities throughout Wisconsin, northern Illinois, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and northeastern Minnesota.
Last year’s Holiday Challenge helped a total of 400 families. Since the need continues to expand, our goal this year is to serve 800 families! We need your help with donations and by helping spread the word to your friends, family and co-workers. There are two easy ways to donate:
1) Donate online using our new secure online donation page. Just use the fund drop-down menu to indicate your gift is for “Holiday Dinners For Deserving Families”. If you would like to designate your gift for a specific geographic area, please do so in the “Comments” field.
2) Make out a check or money order payable to SHARE, PO Box 403, Butler, WI 53007 and note "Holiday Challenge" in the memo. Or donate over the phone with a credit or debit card by calling 800-548-2124.
SHARE’s volunteer network will identify deserving families for you. (If you are interested in ordering a package for a family you know, please use our regular online ordering system—not the donation webpage—or call us toll-free at 800-548-2124.)

Please act soon as the deadlines are fast approaching! Thanksgiving Dinner donations must be received by November 4th and the deadline for Christmas Dinner donations is December 2nd.
SHARE is designated as a tax-exempt, charitable activity under IRS Section 501-C-3, so your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. We will send you a donation receipt for your records.
