January 2012: Black Women 50+ Magazine published a great article about St. John's UM Baptist host site leader Gloria Rhone. And Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service ran a story on their website about St. Josaphat's December food pick-up.
December 2011: WISN Channel 12 and the Sawyer County Record posted nice articles about our Christmas Dinner Package, and the Wausau Daily Herald wrote about how you can save money on food all year long with SHARE. Wausau's WAOW Channel 9 also posted a great story about all of our volunteers making a difference in the local community!
November 2011: We received great coverage of our Thanksgiving Dinner Package distribution from LaCrosse Channel 19, Mosinee Today, Milwaukee Channel 12 and Madison Channel 27. Plus, Wausau Channel 9 honored longtime SHARE host site leader Ruth Anklam with their Jefferson Award for volunteer service!
October 2011: Our SHARE The Season holiday dinner package campaign was featured on the Bay View Compass website, in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, and in the Superior Telegram. FOX6 in Michigan's Upper Peninsula also did a story on our holiday campaign featuring Ishpeming Host Site Coordinator Maureen LaWent; check out the video!
September 2011: The Northwest Herald ran a fabulous article about SHARE and our host site in McHenry, IL.
August 2011: The Wausau Daily Herald quoted SHARE Executive Director Paulette Flynn in an article about the recent local increase in Wisconsin FoodShare (SNAP or foodstamp) usage. Plus, the Center for Urban Population Health posted a video on SHARE's collaboration with community residents, other local agencies and academics to develop a customized nutrition education program for Mobile Market.
June 2011: The Jackson County Chronicle ran a story on the SHARE site in Black River Falls.
May 2011: Over the past few months, a group of young adults from Public Allies Milwaukee organized a series of fun nutrition education events for children at several Mobile Market partner organizations. The program, called GOT FRESH?, was featured by 88.9FM Radio Milwaukee's "Safe Streets, Healthy Kids" Initiative--listen to the podcast! Plus, the Daily Globe of Michigan's Upper Peninsula published a story about the new SHARE site opening up in Wakefield.
April 2011: Information on SHARE's Easter Dinner Package was posted on the Taste Buds Blog of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, as well as in the Wausau Daily Herald. Plus Executive Director Paulette Flynn made an appearance on Milwaukee's Channel 6 to talk about the special Easter Dinner sale at the main warehouse.
March 2011: Host Site Coordinators Tony & Jane Slater were profiled in a story in the Appleton Post-Crescent.
February 2011: In December the Pine Journal published an article about SHARE's holiday dinner campaign. And in January the Green Bay Press Gazette wrote about SHARE's new local pick-up site and volunteer team. Executive Director Paulette Flynn participated in an interview with other experts about the recent Wisconsin Local Food Summit on WUWM's Lake Effect program.
December 2010: Late last month Milwaukee's TMJ4 included SHARE's Thanksgiving Dinner Package Warehouse Sale in a Call 4 Action segment. Our Christmas Dinner Package sale was featured in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, as well as in stories on Milwaukee's Channel 12 and Channel 6, and Channel 58.
November 2010: Milwaukee Public Radio interviewed SHARE Executive Director Paulette Flynn for their Project Milwaukee: What's On Our Plate series, the Journal-Sentinel Online posted an article about the SHARE The Season holiday campaign, the West Of The I website posted a story about the new SHARE site at First Christian Church in Kenosha, and the Peninsula Pulse published a great story about SHARE in Door County.
October 2010: Milwaukee's Shepherd Express declared SHARE volunteers the Heroes of the Week in late September, and they also profiled SHARE and Executive Director Paulette Flynn in an article about Milwaukee's Good Food Movement. SHARE's 25th Anniversary was covered in the Kenosha News, The Milwaukee Community Journal and The Stoughton Courier-Hub. The Watertown Daily Times also published an article about our SHARE The Season holiday dinner package campaign.
September 2010: Our 25th Anniversary activities, the SHARE Cares Food Fund and our SHARE The Season holiday dinner package campaign were mentioned in the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen, the Brillion News, the Juneau County Star Times, on the Wausau FOX 55 website and in the Kenosha News. Plus the Mobile Market was highlighted on the Center For Urban Population Health website!
August 2010: An article in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel focused on what various local groups are doing to help fight the epidemic of obesity. SHARE's Mobile Market was recognized as an important initiative to bring healthy, affordable food to underserved communities.
June 2010: SHARE was mentioned along with another food buying program in an article in the Superior News Telegram.
May 2010: The Stevens Point Journal published an article recognizing the local SHARE site's outgoing and incoming coordinators, as well as a new location. The Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter ran a story about two new SHARE sites, one in Manitowoc and another in nearby Two Rivers, Wisconsin.
April 2010: Madison's NBC 15 posted an article on their website about SHARE's partnership with Second Harvest of Southern Wisconsin to educate the public about FoodShare, the Wisconsin state food stamp program.
March 2010: Milwaukee's Fox6 reporter Gus Gnorski put together a great story about our Easter Dinner Package Warehouse Sale--click here for the video. Plus, the Messenger of Juneau County published an article about efforts to establish a SHARE site in Mauston, WI.
February 2010: Milwaukee's Channel 6 aired a great story about our new Mobile Market program!
December 2009: The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and Milwaukee's WISN Channel 12 both ran stories about the Christmas Dinner Package Sale at SHARE's warehouse. In Superior, WI, the Telegram featured information on SHARE, and the Sussex Sun and Oconomowoc Focus also helped get the word out with a great article and photo.
November 2009: 88.9FM Radio Milwaukee's Meet The Need Campaign featured an interview about Mobile Market with SHARE staff member Antonio Butts. The audio and more info is posted on their Unified Milwaukee blog. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel posted an article about SHARE's Thanksgiving Dinner Package on their website. And WUWM Milwaukee Public Radio featured a great story on SHARE's Mobile Market!

May 2009: The State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services selected SHARE Wisconsin and its executive director Paulette Flynn to receive the 14 Carrot Gold Award for promoting the consumption of fruits and vegetables. The press release went out in late May, and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel blogged about it on their website!
March 2009: March was a busy month for media coverage about SHARE's savings on food, and the fantastic volunteers who make our program possible. February 2009: The Duluth News Tribune ran a series of articles about SHARE. The first article generated a huge repsonse. The paper published a follow-up story 10 days later, and by the end of the month it reported that a new host site would open in Carlton, MN.
January 2009: WLUC TV6, the ABC affiliate in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, ran a story on the SHARE site in Iron Mountain.
January 2009: the Kenosha News wrote an article about the fabulous truckers that work to bring SHARE food to the county.
December 2008: SHARE was featured in newspaper articles in the Door County Advocate and the Inter-County Leader in Webster, Wisconsin.
