Here is a delicious recipe from Personal Chef Tony Lison in Green Bay. It’s a great way to use the pears from the Produce Assortment in the August Traditional Package. Enjoy!
Ingredients
1 pear for every two servings
1 tablespoon brown sugar per serving
10 raisins per pear half
1/2 teaspoon butter or margarine per pear half
1 tablespoon water per pear half
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel, core and halve the pears from top to bottom. Place in a shallow baking dish with the water in the dish. In the cored space, fill with the raisins (and some chopped nuts if desired). Put the butter or margarine on top of the raisins. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Place in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. Serve warm as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This is an easy dessert that will pair well with any of the entrees SHARE is offering this month. I would try mine with the lasagna!
