SHARE Warehouse Assistant Mike Neuman contributed this tasty recipe. Our volunteers and staff have enjoyed it several times during distribution week lunch here at the warehouse!
Ingredients:
1/2 inch water in crock pot or large stew pot
1 package shaved roast beef (1 lb.)
¼ package onion soup mix
¼ tablespoon oregano
¼ tablespoon basil
½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ tablespoon A-1 sauce
1 clove crushed garlic
½ tablespoon mustard
Directions:
Add the water to the crock pot or stew pot and set it to cook on low. Add all of the spices and onion soup mix, and then add the roast beef. SHARE’s sliced roast beef is already seasoned, so extra salt and pepper is probably not necessary. Cook on low for 1 hour, checking every 20 minutes or so. This roast beef is great on a toasted, garlic-buttered bun with Provolone cheese and sautéed green peppers and onions on top. For a spicy punch, add pepperoncini!
