Appleton's Host Site Leaders

Jane and Tony Slater, seen here busy counting food, have been with North Appleton SHARE for many years and are now happy to serve as coordinators for the site. Jane has also introduced a great idea—the SHARE Café, a table with refreshments where people can get together and chat while they wait for their orders to be prepared!

Appleton volunteers

At North Appleton, Evelyn Slater (Tony’s mom) and Henretta Rasmussen are on hand to greet members each month and help go over the paperwork.

Janesville's Chris Dahmer

Chris Dahmer has been a part of the Janesville site for at least 18 years, so he’s had enough experience to let everyone else know how to do things so they get done right. He always has a smile for everyone. “He’s just what every site needs,” say the site’s coordinators. Chris is retiring from the volunteer team and will be dearly missed!

GE Healthcare Alex Gamez (left) from the GE Healthcare Employee Civic and Charitable Organization stopped in to the SHARE office in November to present a generous donation to SHARE Executive Director Paulette Hardin. Thanks to all of the employees of GE Healthcare for supporting the work of SHARE in the community!

Hugo and Hattie

Condolences to the friends and family of Hugo Binder (pictured here at right with his wife, Hattie) longtime host site leader for St. Margaret Mary in Milwaukee. Everyone at SHARE will miss Hugo’s smile and his great compassion for his community.

Santa and Mrs. Claus

Santa and Mrs. Claus (a.k.a. Ron and Delores Thomas of Janesville) brought smiles to the faces of dozens of children at the SHARE Kids’ Holiday Party at the main warehouse on December 2nd.

Mary Jo Mary Jo Jancarik, a member of the In-House host site, joined around a dozen other volunteers to help children enjoy a number of different craft activities at the Kids’ Holiday Party.
Charlotte Vogt (right) of the Pilot Club taught children about brain safety at the Kids’ Holiday Party. Her group had a fun puppet show to go along with her presentation.
