Beginning in October, SHARE will debut two new and improved food packages designed to bring more value and variety to larger households, meet the needs of singles and seniors, and keep up with the rising cost of food. Here’s what’s coming:

The Big Value Package
This package will be larger than our current Traditional Package and is aimed at families. Look for more produce in the included Deluxe Produce Assortment and more items overall including a bonus item. The price for this package is $25, which allows us to add a little more food and also make up for the higher food and fuel costs we are experiencing.

The Mini Package
This package will be made up of some of the same items that are in the Big Value Package. It will be designed with seniors and singles in mind, with a smaller assortment of produce and fewer total items. It will not include the bonus item. The price for this package is $15. It will be found on the Select list on the order form.

Members still will be able to choose products from the Big Value Package individually, so if the $25 package does not fit your needs, you can still pick and choose just exactly what you want. The SHARE order form will still have a SHARE Select list of items that are not included in either package, but can also be ordered for significant savings.

I hope you will find the new packages to be a change for the better. Our goal remains to offer savings of 30-50% over grocery store prices. Working together with our fantastic network of host site volunteers, we are committed to being the best food value in town while staying true to our slogan: “Bringing us together for food and community.”
