The Roundy’s Foundation has once again extended a helping hand to SHARE! Please
join me in thanking them for their very generous contribution of $9,750 for emergency
repairs to our freezer. This could not have come at a more critical time, since
the need to replace a faulty condenser on our freezer occurred right in the middle
of our holiday distribution.
In November, right before our biggest distribution of the year, a big crane in the
back yard of our warehouse hoisted the new condenser up onto the roof. By getting
that repair done, we could rest assured that all of our products would be stored
at the correct temperatures through the holidays and beyond.
Some of you may remember that the last time we had trouble with the freezer, Roundy’s
took the lead in our fundraising efforts with a gift of $7,000. We appreciate their
consistent support of our work to help people stretch their food dollars. Giving
back to the community is an important part of the philosophy of Roundy’s,
the parent corporation for Pick ‘n Save, Rainbow and Copps food stores.
We also wish to thank the contractors who completed the repairs: Advantage Refrigeration,
Giraffe Electric and GA Larson. All of them joined in the spirit of giving by discounting
their services and passing the parts through at cost.
All of us at SHARE send these fine corporate citizens our heartfelt thanks and best
wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year.
