SHARE staff and warehouse volunteers were very happy to have volunteers from Houghton & Kewaunee County SHARE travel all the way down from Upper Michigan to help make loads in May. They were a blast!
And not everybody who visits the warehouse gets to sit on the forklift, but the group from Houghton & Keweenaw County SHARE came such a long way that we couldn’t resist. They are joined in the bottom photo by SHARE marketing intern Joe Darrow, whose mother Virgie used to run a SHARE site in Madison!

Bill Loser, a longtime forklift driver at the warehouse, received a recognition award from Executive Director Paulette Flynn on his recent retirement from the forklift. Also known as “Dad”, Bill has truly made a difference over the years at the warehouse, and continues to do so as a host site leader in Jackson, Wisconsin.

In May, participants in SHARE’s Learning for Life Food & Nutrition Workshops in Green Bay completed their coursework. Funded by a generous grant from the Cornerstone Foundation, SHARE worked with Personal Chef Tony Lison (also a frequent recipe contributor for The SHARE Times) and Ashwaubenon host site leader Alveda Yashinsky to provide participants with cooking and budgeting skills, including information on how SHARE can help them save money on food. Thanks to our partners and everyone else who contributed to this fantastic program! |

In May faithful SHARE Day warehouse volunteer counter Donna Lipski helped out this photogenic crew from St. Catherine. |
