Trollway Mount Horeb

Trollway Mount Horeb is the name of the new SHARE site in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, west of Madison. Coordinator Jeff Haag and team members Richard Lornson, Lynn Forshaug, Pat Maclean and Donna Reed along with Julie Gough are excited to help the people of their community. Also, many thanks to Stoughton host site coordinator and regional coordinator Margie Blumer-Darling for helping the team get up and running!

In January SHARE Director of Community Leadership Rosie Loser had a great time visiting the host sites in Kenosha County. A big thank-you to all of the dedicated volunteers at Westosha, St. John’s Lutheran, St. Mary Kenosha and Second Baptist—many of whom have been making SHARE available in their communities for more than 20 years! Also, congrats to Deacon Ron Lesjak for getting a great article into the local newspaper about the local trucking companies and truck drivers who donate the transportation of SHARE food to these sites every month!

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at SHARE

January’s Martin Luther King Day was a historic day of community service around the country. The SHARE warehouse saw a huge influx of volunteer groups who helped bag potatoes. We had so many volunteers that the potatoes for thousands of families were bagged in record time—about three hours!
