Ingredients:
2 8-ounce steaks
1-2 medium garlic cloves, halved crosswise
1-1/2 teaspoons canola or corn oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 Cup water
2 Tablespoons Balsamic vinegar
1 Tablespoon sugar
Directions:
Remove any visible fat from the steaks and rub both sides of each with the garlic. In a small bowl, stir together all the ingredients except the steaks, salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a skillet with medium flame until it’s hot. Add the steaks and sprinkle with half of the salt and half of the pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, flip the steaks, sprinkle with the remaining salt and pepper and cook for 5 more minutes. Add the vinegar mixture to the skillet and bring to a boil. Boil for 1-2 minutes or until the sauce has thickened slightly. Check steaks for desired doneness. To serve, cut each steak in half and spoon the sauce over them. Serves 4.
