Ingredients:
1/2 head green cabbage, shredded
6 oz. bacon, cooked crisp and chopped
1 pear, cored, peeled and diced
1 apple, cored, peeled and diced
1 lb. carrots, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
3 stalks celery, cut into 1-inch pieces
3 potatoes, scrubbed and cubed to 1 inch, unpeeled
3 smoked sausages with cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 Cup water or apple juice
Directions:
Combine the cabbage, bacon, pear and apple in the bottom of your slow cooker. Place the carrots, celery, potatoes and sausages on top and season to taste with salt and pepper. Add the water or apple juice. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until the veggies are cooked through. Serves 6.
