Blueberry Smoothie


Ingredients:
8 oz. frozen blueberries
1 banana, peeled
1 apple, peeled & cored
1 orange, peeled & sectored
1 pear, peeled & cored
1 Cup plain yogurt or kefir
2 Cups low-fat milk, soymilk or almond milk
2 Tablespoons honey
Ice as desired

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in the blender. Cover and use the blender’s pulse, mix and/or liquefy settings for 90 seconds maximum. It may be necessary to push the fruits to the bottom of the blender with a wooden spoon to make sure they are all blended. If the resulting smoothie appears too thick, add water or additional milk and blend again. These are a great way to get your fruit servings for breakfast—they can even be prepared the evening before and stored overnight in the refrigerator. Serves 2-3.
