Ingredients:
4 pork chops
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Salt and pepper to taste
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 Tablespoons butter
2 tart apples, peeled, cored and sliced
3 Tablespoons chopped pecans
Directions:
Preheat oven to 175 degrees Fahrenheit and place a medium-size baking dish in the oven to warm. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brush the chops with oil and cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until browned. Transfer the chops to the baking dish and return to the oven covered to keep warm. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Put the butter in the skillet and stir in the spice mixture and the apple slices. Cover and cook over medium low heat until the apples are tender. To serve, put the chops on plates, spoon the apple slices and sauce on top, then sprinkle with pecans. Serves 4.
