In November, volunteers Sylvia and John Zimmer dropped off 5,000 holiday cards for veterans. Milwaukee Harley-Davidson retirees, SHARE volunteers and members, and local pre-schools and Brownie and Girl Scout troops all donated cards. SHARE volunteers distributed the cards to 9 veteran’s facilities in our service area. We have already begun collecting cards for next year, and we are also seeking volunteers to help distribute cards to veterans in additional areas. Daral and Sharon Steiger’s names were drawn from all members at the Manawa SHARE site in November to receive a free Thanksgiving Dinner package, compliments of the Raymond Nohr family.

In November, St. Rafael the Archangel School, which hosts a SHARE site, sent a big group of students to help with distribution activities at the main warehouse. What a great group of kids! |
