I knew it had to happen eventually. The cost of everything has crept up steadily, and food prices everywhere are at an all-time high. SHARE exists in this same environment when it comes to purchasing food for our members, and so we’ve been faced with a decision to make.
Regular SHARE shoppers know that the BIG Value Package is designed to be the most food for the money, and in addition to everything listed on the order form it usually includes a surprise Bonus Item. Beginning with this month’s package, we have had to eliminate the Bonus Item. Dropping the Bonus Item allows us to stay on budget without raising the price of the package or eliminating a more substantial item from the package.
Because the Bonus Item is not something that people counted on in their meal planning, eliminating it seemed like the most sensible option. If food prices drop, we can always bring it back. We remain committed to bringing you the best value for your food dollars.
Right now we are reviewing the responses to the SHARE Member Survey we conducted last month.
