During April’s Volunteer Appreciation Month celebrations, Tom Rolland (top, left) was honored as the 2010 Warehouse Volunteer of the Year. Over the years Tom has helped palletize thousands of bulk food loads. Youth and teachers from the Lauer Center, who have dedicated one Tuesday morning every month to assemble Organic Produce Assortments, were chosen as the 2010 Warehouse Volunteer Group of the Year. In April, Milwaukee SHARE site leaders attended meetings with Mobile Market Manager Antonio Butts and Director of Community Leadership Rosie Loser to discuss the roles of Mobile Market and SHARE in the community. Present were volunteer leaders from First United West Allis, St. Gregory The Great, St. Matthias, St. Josaphat and Bay View.

Over the past few months, a group of young adults from Public Allies Milwaukee organized a series of fun nutrition education events for children at several Mobile Market partner organizations.
