Soda Pop Chops

Ingredients:
1 Cup root beer
3/4 Cup ketchup
1 teaspoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 Tablespoon flour
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 boneless pork chops
2 Tablespoons olive oil

Directions:
In a small bowl, combine the root beer, ketchup, brown sugar, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder, then set aside. In a large re-sealable plastic bag, combine the flour, pepper and salt. Add the pork chops to the bag one at a time and shake to coat. In a large sauce pan, brown the chops in the oil. Then add the root beer mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the meat is tender and cooked through, turning once. Remove chops and boil down sauce until liquid is reduced by half. To serve, sauce can be drizzled over chops or a side of mashed potatoes, or it can be saved for a similar dish with chicken. Serves 4.
