Bring On The Bucks

After reviewing your expenses and debts, you may find that you simply need to increase income. The idea of another full-time job is probably out of the question for most people. Fortunately, just a little additional income can make a difference. Here are some ideas:

Work freelance. Many people use their talents to work independently. Check out websites like sologig.com to search for customers.

Get creative. One client of mine does very well with her hobby business selling handmade goods at a local farmer’s market.

Rummage. While rummage sales and eBay can be a lot of work, they can have a definite pay-off. I know some families who visit rummage sales, buy cheap, and re-sell at a profit!

Sell books. Unload the ones you haven’t touched in a while at used book stores and thrift stores.

Donate plasma. I work with many people who treat this as their part-time job. They donate twice a week and bank the money. Some even say they find the time relaxing. Before you donate, be sure to get your doctor’s approval.

Increasing your income doesn’t have to be difficult or draining. But do be wary of offers to help you build a business or work from home. If it’s going to cost you time and money, make sure you research the offer thoroughly. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
